• Have Fitzpatrick skin types IV–VI (deeper skin tones)
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Have uncontrolled diabetes
• Have a history of keloid or hypertrophic scarring
• Have autoimmune disorders or are on immunosuppressive therapy
• Are undergoing chemotherapy or radiation
• Have active skin infections, cold sores, or open wounds in the treatment area
• Are using Accutane or have used it within the past 6–12 months
• Have certain blood disorders or delayed wound healing
• Are prone to hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation
